Our Mission:  To work effectively to improve the welfare, security, and general well being of retired teachers in the Saint John area.

Welcome to the Saint John Branch of Retired Teachers Website established in the Spring of 2004.

We hope this website will be a source of information and interest to you. We have designed it to allow quick and easy access to information about us and what we do.

Saint John Retired Teachers Association is a member of NBSRT and ACER-CART, our national organization representing 150,000 retired teachers.

Locally, we try to serve the needs and interests of our members through advocacy, co-operation and socialization. We strive to make our presence felt in the community through our volunteer and committee work. The Saint John Branch of NBSRT has biannual luncheon meetings the third Thursday in OCTOBER and MAY.

Provincially, we work closely with NBSRT and the NBTA. See these links for shared initiatives.

If you wish to contact your NBSRT Group Insurance Committee, you can reach them at

Becoming a member is easy and economical. Membership is one way to keep in touch with retired colleagues. It provides a way to become pro-active on social issues at the local, provincial, and national levels. A subscription to Reflections magazine is included in your membership.

We encourage you to search our website for many other items of interest. If you would like to volunteer for a committee or nominate someone for a position (including yourself), you may do so through the Contact Us/Suggestion(s) section.
